HAPPY OR SAD?
Recently Isaac has been saying to me, "Mom, are you happy?" The kid is only 3 years old, why is he asking me this? At first I thought it might be because everytime he went potty the past few weeks I would say, "Oh Isaac, I am so happy! Way to go!" But after not having such a happy face as I have been trying to get dinner on & the kids are screaming, or trying to get out the door & 2 kids have poopy diapers & screaming more, Isaac notices that I am not smiling. He asks me in the car "Mom, are you happy?" With a side smile I tell him "yes" and say that I love him.
My conclusion is that I need to put a bigger smile on my face & not take things so seriously. So there are crumbs all over my nicely vacuumed carpet- oh well. So I am late getting to play group- not a biggie. My kids are starting to recognize my stress & I need to reassure them that no matter what, I am happy...happy to be a mom, thankful for a beautiful family, and most of all I am happy to spend my days with them.

You really have such a beautiful family. All three of the boys are adorable. I'm glad you started blogging again.

What a good attitude to have, JoAnna! Julianna definitely keeps me happy, too! She knows as soon as I'm not happy and even says, can you be happy, mommy? And if she's crying when I put her down for a nap, and I seem a little stressed, she says, are you mad? She doesn't like me to be mad! Aren't kids cute? By the way, she starts VIP tots on Monday! Yeah! And we still don't know about the house...I'll let you know.
