We went camping! This was the first time that we've taken the kids on a real camping trip- sleeping bags, tent & smores....the works. Well, we did get to have our car right next to us so we kinda did some car camping too- but we didn't shower for about 2 days so I would consider that real camping!
JoAnna & Evan @ Ocean Shores beach. This is a beach that you can drive on & it was right next to our camp site. People usually have big kites on this beach because of the high winds, but we got there early so it was pretty calm. This was the first beach we went to & the kids ran ALL OVER! They couldn't believe all the flat sand & how fun it was to run out into the waves.
This was the end of that same day. We watched the sun set on the beach & played Frisbee. It was really fun & the kids had a blast. 
Back to that morning, John chased the kids all over & pretty much used up all their energy. It was perfect because they went right to bed when it was time!

We found this car on the beach. We forgot sand toys for the kids, but this was way better! It kept Jacob happy for a good 3 hours. This beach was covered with really flat, circular rocks. John & I had a contest to see who could find the most symmetrical circular rock... results below-

The FJ was perfect for driving on the beach. 
Here are John's rocks. He was the winner of our contest. It wasn't easy to dig through all of those rocks, but John's got an eye for PERFECTION!

love the car...it's my fav. i'm so jealous you guys get to play on the beach. it's the best time. how was the reunion?
