Chicken Little?
We got chickens...for pets! We've been thinking about getting the kids a pet, but aren't sure we are ready committ to something major-like a dog or cat. We've had a chicken before, but it was in California & it was larger. I think it wasn't the best timing for us because the chicken went bye-bye quickly. This time John got the kids baby chicks (only a couple days old). They will lay blue eggs at about 12 weeks. We'll keep you posted on how that goes!

so cute...i want to get my kids ducks. at easter time you can find ducklings dyed pink, purple, blue etc...
Wow, girl. You are a brave mom. I guess these are the sorts of things you can do when you don't live in a subdivision... mmmmmm... what would that be like - totally jealous of you!
they are so cute! have fun with them. i can't wait to see their eggs!
