O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree..
O Christmas Tree....what is the matter?! Our dang Christmas tree looked so pretty when we first got it up, but the next day it had a hard time staying strong for us. It fell down 3 times (probably because we didn't have it screwed in correctly). This is our first real tree so I guess we have few tricks to learn. The solution to the the problem this year was to fill the tree stand with Legos- it is as strong as ever!

WE always had a 'live' Xmas tree growing up in Gig Harbor. We used a 5 gallon bucket, put the trunk in and filled it up with rocks. It served 2 purposes. The tree was strongly weighted in place and it didn't have to be watered daily. You will have to cut a few more branches off on the bottom to get the trunk to the bottom of the bucket, but we never had a tree fail us w/this system. -Kalyn
