Well, at about noon today, I heard some scuffling at the door. I thought it was a solicitor just putting an advertisement in my door, but as I watched out my office window never saw them walk away. I finally decided to check out the front door & see this big dog just sitting on my doorstep. My heart pounded so hard as I slammed the door on this poor dog.
He then decided to walk around my house, come back to my doorstep & started barking like I was really going to let him in. I didn't know what to do. I called Animal Control to see if they could help this dog. I didn't know how friendly it really was. They told me if I thought it was safe to contain him to go head & wait about 1-4 hours before someone could come out to get him.
Long story short, this poor dog stayed in our backyard for 3 hours. All awhile, the kids were running from window to window to see what the dog was going to do next. Isaac informed me that he thought the dog should just stay & he could take care of it. I reminded him that he was just learning to clean himself up, let alone this huge dog.
He was very sad to see the dog go, but clearly understood why the "police" took him away. It was time for him to find his real home. Anyway, dog sitting for us couldn't have been easier! It was kinda fun actually--so much excitement!

When my boys ask for a dog, I tell them that we have boys instead! I bet having a dog in their backyard just made their day.
I love all your updates. It has been a while since I have been on. I especially love the mud pictures. I remember doing that when I was little too! I am glad that you found humor in it to take picutes. Bathing in a tub outside will not be something that those teenage boys want to see again!!! Thanks
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! my plan is to call you at some point today, but if it doesn't happen i wanted to let you know i'm thinking of you! i hope you have a great day!! your post about the boys in the mud is so great! i love it. kids are so sneaky!!
