Happy Mother's Day...

This is hilarious! The only good family picture we could take ended up being a video! We thought the flash was off & thought maybe that was why the picture didn't take. Instead, we got a 2 sec. video of us saying "CHEESE"...at least you can see what it would have looked like! I didn't realize this was a video until I was loading up pictures to add in my blog. This is after several attempts of taking pictures, trying to get at least one good shot! Oh, well....we are all still laughing!

Me as a Mom....

What a blessing it is to be a mom & wife. I am so lucky to have 3 healthy, strong boys that help me be a better person. They have taught me that patience is everything & having fun is just as important as working. So far, I've enjoyed my special day as mom. John let me sleep in & then rushed me downstairs to a private breakfast (poached eggs, toast & fruit). It was great. Then he read me a poem that he wrote. Let us both preface the poem with this note...John is no poet, but he was able to make it rhyme & put a smile on my face. Good enough! I think it pretty much sums up these last 3 years of being "MOM!"

Dear JoAnna,
When it comes to mothers, I can't think of anyone better than you.
Mothering is just something you were meant to do.
It's been tough, I know
Raising Isaac, Evan & Jacobo. (John always calls Jacob this, pronounced ha-ko-bo)
JoAnna, you're the best.
Even though sometimes you act like a pest .
I will always love you
for the work you do for our team.
Spit up, laundry, vacuuming, and changing diapers with so much bum cream.
You are definitely the best thing ever to happen to me.
Happy Mother's day, from me and your family.
Love, Dad (John), Isaac, Evan & Jacob

I'm so glad I got to see you before your big move. Our run in at Marshall's must have been destined cause my mom without even knowing I'd seen you brought you up the next day wondering how you were. Then a few days later, I saw the Rawlings family and was reminiscing about when we were little and they also brought you up. So good to see you!! Good luck with your move.
