SCHOOL DAYS!

The boys have started preschool this year & are really enjoying it. Their teacher really just radiates with enthusiasm & positivity that can hardly be ignored. I get to work with the kids in the preschool as it is a "cooperative" school where parents are VERY involved. I know that I will be learning as much as the boys are. I can't wait to see how the next 9 months changes all of us! Isaac is working hard on all his colors, numbers, and letters. He'll be working alot on this listening & sharing abilities & I hope that we'll be able to work on this at home as well. Evan loves to learn & work on anything new and challenging. I have no doubt they will grow from this exciting & new environment called SCHOOL!
On a side-note....
A few confessions/stories to share.
How to know your kid is ready for school:
1- Evan -"Mom, are these (pointing to his shoes) Sketchers?" (like the brand name shoe)
Mom- "No, how do you know what Sketchers are?"
Evan- "I need Sketchers, they are on the show." (the show being a commercial)
Mom- "Well, we don't have Sketchers. You are wearing some Airwalks."
2. Isaac- "Mom, you have to get one of these!" (yelling & pulling me over to the TV)
Mom- "What are you talking about Isaac?"
Isaac- " You roll out the paper & flowers grow!!! I like that so much"
**CONCLUSION** I've been a lazy mom lately & I need to turn off that stinkn' TV now! Oh, and I'm so thankful for school! What a rut to be in, but I'm sure we'll be in our groove soon enough.

I know what you mean about commercials. These advertising people know what they're doing! Jake LOVES his Heeley's because the commercial is so cool.
As for the coupons you asked about. I do get most of mine from the Sunday paper. I get a lot by printing them off the computer too. I have even bought some off of e-bay when it's a smoking deal and I know I want to stock up. What stores are by you? I'm having the most luck with Walgreens, CVS, Longs, and hit and miss with some of the grocery stores.
I hear you on that one, the TV problem. Julianna asks for everything in the commercials, too. But how fun that Isaac and Evan are in preschool! Cute pics! And thanks for that SPD link--I actually watched that one while I was doing some searches.

fun that they are in school. it's great that you get to help with their classes too. so did they get the sketchers? a couple years ago thing 2 got a pair for school and he told me one day that he was the most popular kid in school. hmmm okay, why do you say that? because i have sketchers. that's what the commercial said and he believed it. i'm not even sure if he knew what popular meant-maybe he did but who knows!
Kids really soak up the TV. Cambria was telling me the other day that O need to get aqua globews for all my plants so that I don't need to worry about over watering them . . .
