Not much going on, but we are busy!
School has been going really well for the kids. Evan is very excited about his school days. When he hears me tell him it is time to get ready for school, he quickly runs up the stairs & starts getting dressed. He likes to do everything by himself from getting dressed (clothes, teeth brushed) to getting buckled in his car seat. He is really trying hard to write his name- mostly concentrating on the letter E (with six lines instead of 3) and he particularly enjoys drawing vs. painting.
Isaac doesn't really appreciate the idea of Evan going to school first (the morning session), but he is slowing getting used to the idea that having some alone time with Mom can be fun too. I've gotten to work in Isaac's class a couple of times now & it seems like he is really enjoying school too. Each time he is there, he gets to be a teacher's helper for a different task each time. He gives great weather reports! I'm hoping that we'll figure out how to work on those listening skills a bit more, but in class he does great so I'm happy to report that.
This week we'll be doing some fun festive things in preschool and next week we'll be on our way to Las Vegas! The weather has changed so much in these past few weeks. We've gotten some cold days with lots of rain, but today is chilly with blue skies! I love having a definite season change & I can't wait for the upcoming holidays.
Jacob is a silly kid that keeps me balanced somehow. He's been tempted to push my buttons a bit by getting into things he knows he shouldn't. When I tell him that what he is doing is a no-no he likes to roll his eyes to the top of his head & makes a funny face with his mouth. It really makes me laugh out loud every time. I think what he is telling me is...."oh mom...chill out!"
So that is what I'm doing.....keeping busy with school functions & learning how to chill out. Balance is everything don't you think?

Sounds fun to me! It's better to be busy, I think. Then you don't feel lazy! How fun that Isaac and Evan are in preschool! And that you are volunteering! So fun.
