What a weekend! Early Friday morning, John (my father in law) called to see if he could take me flying to the San Juan Islands (no pics). Pat offered to watch the kids & so we went! The weather was remarkable and we flew for a couple of hours. We did get to land on one island (which we had to ourselves to explore) and then headed back. What a great flight & wonderful experience to have.


Later that night, John & I got to go out on a date with our friends on their new boat...being kid-free for almost the whole day (how lucky was I?) John's dad ended up taking Evan on an overnight sailing trip. This was something new for Evan so we weren't sure how he'd do, but he had a blast!


Saturday morning was a bit rainy, but Pat headed over bright & early to help set up our (we are sharing) vegetable garden. Kes (my brother in law) built a garden that day too, so he helped us too. We built 2 square gardens filled with lots of carrots, peas, lettuce and lots of other YUMMY good veggies. (pics to post later).


Today we woke up to a bright sunny day & just did things to prepare for the week. We attempted to do our weekly beach fire (hot dog dinner) but the rain poured so we headed up. Now we are ready to start our week. I'll be heading home to Vegas this next weekend to see my Mom for Mother's day. Hooray for fun-filled weekends.
