ROAD TRIP!!
the day after Christmas we packed up & left town for 18 days. it was so much fun!
first stop...TEMECULA,CA

We spent a couple days with our good friends, the Newbolds.
We haven't seen each other for year & a half so there was a lot to catch up on. The kids were all surprised on how much each of them had grown up.
Thank you again to the Newbolds for their wonderful hospitality & friendship!

Next stop...PALM SPRINGS, CA
to see Great Grandma Elkins. We enjoyed lunch at her house and enjoyed each other's company. The boys really have missed her & have asked to return to her house, so this was a highlight for them.

Next on our trip... LAS VEGAS,NV to spend some time with my family.
We had a little family excursion to the Temple. It was closed, so we walked the grounds & enjoyed the beauty all around. Isaac took this picture of us...he's getting pretty good!

The temple grounds are so nice. Evan thought it would be a great shot of him in the bushes. I think its cute.

We were married 10 yrs. ago at this temple....how time flies by.

John enjoyed some MAN TIME at the River. He was joined by Dan Newbold, Steve (my bro) & Brother-in-Law Brad. He said it was awesome! They hit the warm springs after a delicious fish breakfast....still waiting for proof on that one (wink*)

It was chilly!

Home Sweet Home for 3 days.

In the meantime...I got some GIRL TIME with my mom & sisters & Sister-in-law (but I call her my sister). We celebrated my 30th by going out to dinner. Don't mind my 80's hair do--what was I thinking!? Anyway, it is always fun to spend time with this group of ladies-- lots of laughing & silly moments.

Debbie, Susan & I.

The kids played, played & played. They love their cousins.

These girls are my nieces-- Savannah & Emma. TOO CUTE FOR WORDS. I love them.

Grace, my youngest niece. Also, too cute for words & I could squeeze her forever!

Isaac & Graham are total buds.
Our boys think he is so cool.

BOUNCE HOUSE FUN!
This was a really fun treat for the kids. A whole warehouse full of blow up houses, slides & obstacle courses.

Our last stop was in Boise, ID. No pics of that, but it was a perfect place to stop! Instead of staying at a hotel, we got to spend the night at Aunt Linda's house. Our cousins Alex & Yvonne came over with their 4 kids. We stayed up to play some games & let the kids go crazy. It was such a special treat and a great way to end the trip. Overall, our winter trip was a total success. All 20 hrs. of driving (both ways) was well worth it. Thanks to all who made our trip so memorable!!

I remember the Newbolds! They were so fun! I can't believe you did a 20 hour drive! I did 15 and I am glad we did it once but I don't ever want to do it again. You guys have so many great family pictures and you mad me laugh with your comment about 80's hair!
Someday maybe we will see each other again!
Glad you had a fun trip!
