Kauai- 2011
John earned an incentive trip to Kauai this year for being such a great salesman! He's been working so hard and his boss rewarded us with an amazing partial family vacation. We've always wanted to take the kids to Hawaii, but at the right time. We took the oldest first and hope to follow this tradition for the next two kids.
This kid did amazing. He loved every bit of Hawaii and I'm sure he'll be swimming with the fish there when he is an adult. We could hardly get him out of the water. We did snorkeling, body surfing, a helicopter tour, surfing, exploring & enjoyed many shaved ice treats!

Believe it or not, we enjoyed this HUGE treat 3 times during our 7 day trip. It was just too good to pass up. Even Isaac with those big eyes would eat his portion and then push his plate away & say...." I'm done!"
No trip to Hawaii can go by without shave ice with ice cream at the bottom. We seriously indulged ourselves!
A little out of order on my pictures, but this is taking the ferry to the airport. We were freezing cold & Isaac enjoyed is first bowl of clam chowder. He is officially a Washingtonian!

Isaac got to the point to where he wouldn't take the picture unless he could do hang loose with his hands.
Oh, and his Aloha shirt was pretty much the only shirt he wanted to wear....with it unbuttoned. Can we say TOURIST?!
Isaac made friends at each beach we went to.
There is always a place for Hawaii in our hearts.

wow jo, check you out!!! maybe i should have stopped at 3...i am not looking forward to working on getting my body back. i need to, so i don't have to buy new clothes.
We went to Hawaii too in March! We went to Oahu with all the kids. It was so fun!
I love Kauai- it for sure is my favorite island. I like the idea of taking one kid at a time- it makes the trip more possible.
